What is Agility Training?
Okay, I'm still kind of new at this training stuff so you'll have to
pardon my ignorance....but, what is agility training? Is it something that
only show dogs would need?

Agility Training For Everyone
No, agility training is not something only show dogs need. Agility training is for any and all dogs learning to work as a team with their owner, and owner with their dogs. Do a search on the web for “Dog Agility” and I’m sure you can get thousands of threads and some videos to see what Agility is. My dog is not a show dog but she does very well in Agility. Training for agility has formed a bond of trust with my dog. Besides normal commands like sit/stay she learns to read my body language and responds appropriately.

Agility Training Loads Of Fun
Agility is the most fun, wonderful and refreshing of all dog sports. A place where both handler and dog must work together and be ready for the unexpected. Teamwork is the name of the game. I start my English cocker in agility training when he's 2 yrs old, taking care that they do not jump "height", but just learn to go over the bar at the minimum height between the side panels, whatever they may be. The tunnels are great funs, and the chute a joy of these active and interested cocker spaniel.
Besides that… It’s a heck of a lot of fun!
