Dry Skin!
Hi! Is she better now? Does the fur came off as well? I am really surprised that your vet just told you to bathe your dog less often even if she did not see what was really going on with the poor dog. I have never met a vet like that before and she should have asked you instead to come to the clinic so she can have her checked her out. I think that maybe you should look for another vet because it looks like to me that the one you have does not care too much about the animals. For the mean time, maybe you can apply a hydrocortisone spray to stop the dryness a bit but you still should see a vet.

Dry Skin!
I think that you should see another vet right away for they may be something really wrong with your dog and you allowed it to get worse for the past few days. I am sorry but I think that you have a bad vet because she did not even look at the dog and she did not even asked you to come to the clinic so that she can see what the real problem is and give you the proper cure for that. I think that aside from giving him baths less often, you should also give or spray a moisturizing spray on the areas where there are dry skin but you should still see a vet right away. Good luck and I hope that she will get better.

There are products for dry skin for dogs. Skin lotion. I had one a while back not sure as of company name that makes them. Google and you'll find.
