Do your dogs love car rides?    Do your dogs love taking car rides? Rocky loves it! He would usually sit on the passenger seat and he would bring his face out of the window. I hope you get what I mean. He does this a lot and it seems that he likes the fresh air blowing on his face. I had to hold him even while I am driving because he might get too engrossed with it. Also, I have heard some friends complaining that their dogs vomit in the car. It's really a good thing Rocky doesn't do it. How about you? Do your dogs love taking car rides or do they get dizzy easily?

We love taking our dogs to car rides especially when we go on a long road trip. We usually try to bring all of them with us and they are very good dogs when it comes to traveling. I guess they got used to it already because we travel a lot. Anyway, my three little Shih Tzu are the best because they just sleep at the back seat of the car and when they wake up, I would hold one of them on my lap and they would just look out the window. They are just so cute. They also love the wind or the air conditioner blowing on their faces.

Most of the time, my Shih Tzu just stay on the back and sleeps for the rest of the trip. I think that if she does not sleep, she would get really dizzy and may start to vomit. If she is feeling fine, she would usually take her head out and feel the breeze on her face. I think all dogs love it. But there was this one time that I had to bring her with me to a friend's house and she vomited a lot. It was really a mess and vomit was everywhere. Maybe the reason why she vomited was that it was a very long ride and she could not take it.

You are one lucky dog owner! I am really glad that we have dogs like them. It is really a good thing that you can bring your dogs with you anywhere you go. Rocky love taking car rides but he could not take it when it is a very long road trip. He would get dizzy and vomit on the car. I always try not to bring him with me whenever we go travel for a long time. I just ask a friend to take care of him for a few days or as needed. I just hope that he would be able to overcome this so he can come with me to the beach.

I know how it feels. There was this one time that Rocky vomited a lot and his vomit was everywhere in the car. It smelled really funky and the vomit was very hard to remove. But I really do not mind that because I am more concern about his health. Why do dogs love the wind or air blowing on their face too much? I'm just wondering. Also, I do not know if there are any medicines that I can give my dog to prevent him from vomiting? I'm not really sure.

My dog hates it so much! I tried to put her in the car one time and she was doing fine at first. However I have noticed that after several minutes she was getting very uneasy and then boom! She puked. We had to stop the car immediately to check if she was alright. She was not so we just decided to bring her back home and let her stay with my mom. Since then she despised even getting near a car. I'm not really sure if she was traumatized or if it is possible to be.

I also do not have any idea why they like it. When my Shih Tzu is in a good mood, she would bring her face out of the window and stay there for the rest of the trip. She would constantly bark on everything that she sees such as cars, people, and other dogs. I think that aside from the fact that they feel refreshed when the wind is blowing on their faces I think that they also love seeing new things? I'm not sure though. Oh, about the medicine? I'll ask the veterinarian about it.

Hello there, Kristina. I think that maybe there are some dogs which are not built for riding cars or planes because they get very dizzy. I have a friend and just got a cute little Chihuahua. So, my friend likes to travel a lot. There was this one time that she thought that it was alright to bring her Chihuahua with her to a very long road trip. She doesn't know much about the dog so the dog was vomiting throughout the entire trip. It was a horrible experience for her because that was the first time she brought the dog to travel.

Yeah, I think that they really want to see something different. That must be a whole new experience for them which they enjoy very much. Please do ask your vet about it. I would really like to know if there is a med that we could use to help lessen her dizziness. I really want to bring my dog to nice places but that is really stopping me. Is it alright if I give my dig medicines that are specifically made for humans? I need some advice.

My little baby loves that! He is a Rottweiler and he is a little on the heavy side. He usually sits on the passenger seat. He gets really excited about it. When he sees that I am holding the car keys already he would rush out of the door and wait for me in the car. He is so cute. He would put his head out of the window and he would be there for the rest of the trip with his tongue hanging out. He really enjoys it maybe, just like what everyone is saying, dogs enjoy the cool breeze.

We are very lucky that our dogs enjoy car rides. We can bring them anywhere with us, even to a long road-trip and they would enjoy it for sure. Have you ever tried driving out of the state and bringing your dog with you? I have tried that before and she was so cute. She would just sit and put her head out of the window or sometimes she would just sit on my lap while I'm driving. She's a Shih Tzu by the way. Many people here have dogs that get easily dizzy and vomit. We are lucky, indeed.

Yes, we sure are lucky with our dogs. Even though I take him for a long ride, he won't get dizzy or something. He usually is very quiet when he is not looking out the window. He can get really crazy though, he would like put his body all the way out of the window so I had to pull him back into the car. That was really crazy. I could not concentrate on my driving when he does that. He would also bark at people when he sees something unusual or at dogs. He is such a cutie-patootie.
