I think that both people and dog can sense if there is something that is with them that is not visible to the human eye. It happened to me this one time while I was giving treats and playing fetch with my Shih Tzu. I threw her a treat and she was able to catch it. I knelt down because I had to get another treat and when I looked up, I saw my pet Shih Tzu facing at my opposite direction. She was moving her head from side to side as if she was saying no or someone was moving their hands from left to right. Anyway, I saw her jump as if she was catching a treat. I saw her look again at the place and she looks as if she was wondering where the treat was. She turned around and saw the treat beside her. I was so freaked out! I got him weekly and we moved into the other room where my husband was. He could not believe what I told him.

Your stories are really scaring the hell out of me! This usually happens to my two Rottweiler Dragon and Wolf. They bark all the time at basically nothing. After reading your stories it makes me wonder are they really barking at nothing. Anyway, they bark all the time especially if it starting to get dark. They would go to our back door and bark continuously for about 30 minutes or so.
There were also those times that I heard them growling and snarling at something but when i checked it out there was no one at the door. I would often let them outside so that I would know what is wrong. They would just run around the yard and would run after something that they can only see. After that incident, I never let them out of the yard again because I got really scared. It really made me wonder what they can see that I can't.

Wow that is freakier than my experience. Who do you think that was? Maybe someone your dog knows because he/she is following the hands or the treat or whatever that may be. I have never heard of something like that and it really made me think what else they are capable of seeing. They have a more open sixth sense. I don't want to have that, not even for my dog. But he already has it so I could not do much about it.

Wow my dog also does that sometime! It really freaks me out because I have seen him do that a lot of times. There was this one time that we were playing fetch outside. We were having so much fun and then he just stopped completely. He was just staring at his left side and then he started barking and growling at something that I could not see. I was really scared. I tried calming him down but he won't stop. He just continued growling and snarling. I tried telling him that is everything is ok but he won't stop.

Yes, I just realized that maybe it was someone that I have introduced to my dog in the past. It was really freaky and weird at the same time. I just realized that during the time that the incident happened, it was the first death anniversary of my friend who was very close to me and he always loved playing with my dog. Maybe it was his way of reminding me that he was still there. I still get the creeps whenever I think about it. There was also this one time that my dog would not stop barking at something across the door. I kept looking at it to see what he is seeing, but I can't. I believe that all dogs have sixth sense which makes them susceptible to incidents like these. Is there any way that we can prevent or stop this completely? I mean is it possible or are they already built like this?
