Re: Dog Calling
Don’t always reward him with treats or he will always expects something like that. Better praise the dog for obeying.

Re: Dog Calling
Don’t cause your dog to get overexcited when you call him or he will get used to that tone. Just gently and effortlessly call his name but of course clear and upbeat.

Re: Dog Calling
You can start with the leash, and start calling his name when he is not paying attention then immediately followed by “come” in a clear and excited tone. When he comes, acknowledge by giving him a pat or a hug. When he can do this habitually, then do it without a leash.

Re: Dog Calling
Don’t confuse your dog with your voice. Avoid sounding angry. Call him only for purpose not anything than make him near. Calling the dog for punishment, baths is a no-no.

Re: Dog Calling
Don’t run after your dog in case he evades your call, Instead do call his name again that you will have to attract his attention and run after you. Its going to help in emergency situation.

Re: Dog Calling
Constant calling his name whenever you want him to come to you, don't try to call him on a rude manner, like making a hissing sound just to call him. Lower your tone but with firmness.

Re: Dog Calling
Dogs have their own instinct of giving names. They can easily understand if they have their own names.

Re: Dog Calling
For me, I used to play with him, I always say his name, so that, every time I call his name he would recognize me.
