Aggressive or not? Why is this?    Q: I have this neighbor who has a dog that seems nice and playful. But one time, it suddenly attacked one of its owners without any sign at all. Why is this?

Well, the dog could be having a bad time? A bad day?

It should be observed that dogs can be sometimes aggressive, and they may bark or not. A dog can be truly aggressive if it’s not giving any sign at all

How do I get to notice then if my dog is having a bad day? All time I just see his tail is up and wagging and he’s staring at me happily?

Yes, you could only be seeing the signs whenever your dog is in a good mood. But dogs can be bored sometimes as well. Whenever this happens, take notice his otherwise behavior. Dogs can otherwise show signs of aggression.

There could be some times when a dog is not playful and unhappy in a day. Coaxing him with his toys and a play is not enough.

A dog with bared teeth with the kind that appears into a snarl, coupled with its ears pinned back to its head, is aggressive and ready to attack!

Yai!... Definitely, That is the time when the dog is prepared to attack! The grinning snarl is a sign that it is going to bite, so its teeth will not harm its lips when it attacks!

Re: Aggressive or not? Why is this?
The owners should get to know of the dog’s personality from the very start. This is noticeable as the dog grows up. However, some factors like the dog’s breed, bad socialization, surroundings and how the dog is treated can affect how the dog behaves. Those should be taken into consideration.
