Has My Pup Learnt A Bad Habit?    I have a 1 year old female Cocker. The problem I have is in her pen, her bed is one end and I put paper the other. Every morning and lunchtime she has pee'd on the paper and then tends to walk through it on to her bed so I'm forever washing it! Is this something she will grow out of as she gets older and has better bladder control, or has she learnt that it's OK to do this and will continue?

No Worries
No she will not grow out of it. As a matter of fact it has become a full-fledged habit and the longer you let it go on, the harder it will be to train her out of it. She is learning that it is ok to pee within a few feet of where she sleeps and I'm sure you don't want her doing that when she is grown. If I were you I'd get rid of the paper, make the pen smaller (like with a barrier) and instead take her outside at the times when she is peeing.
