Conditioning my dog    I have a Poodle named Dorothy. She has curly brown hair and sometimes I find it really hard to brush it because it has a lot of tangles. Her hair are also a little on the dry side which makes me really wonder about that because I only give her a bath and shampoo her hair every 4 days or so. My father suggested that maybe I could use a conditioner to keep her hair free from any tangles and to keep her hair soft and bouncy. How often should I do this? Or should I do this regularly so that I can brush her hair easily?

Conditioning my dog
I think that it is alright to condition the hair of your dog every once in a while especially if he or she has really dry hair. Maybe you should condition more often because of her hair condition. I suggest though that you do not use conditioners that are made for human because it might not help at all and might contribute to the hair loss of your dog. You should use a conditioner that is specifically made for dog's hair. Also you should let the conditioner sit in the hair for a few minutes while you are combing it to distribute the conditioner throughout.

Conditioning my dog
Well, as for me I think that you can condition the hair of your dog if it is really that necessary or if you can't really brush the hair of your dog. Other than that, if everything else is fine, maybe you can just get a brush out spray which will condition her hair while you are brushing it. Also a good trim will be able to remove the rough edges and dry parts of her hair. It might not be your fault that some parts are dried because that may be from since she was a puppy. A good trim will be able to remove that.
